Dr. Katie Gaskin

Dr Katie Gaskin is a a former collegiate and professional hockey player. Having reached the pinnacle of her sport, she understands that physical preparation, maintenance, and recovery are paramount for top athletic performance. She is an advocate for patient education in order to encourage long-term wellness through active care for all individuals, regardless of age.  

In her youth, Dr Gaskin was selected for the Canada National Development program and was offered a full athletic scholarship to Wayne State University, NCAA Division I school.  She was named team Captain in her Junior year and led her team to an NCAA National Championship.  She graduated from Wayne State Magna Cum Laude with a degree in Biology and minor focus in Exercise and Sport Science.

Dr Gaskin was drafted 12th overall by the Toronto Furies in the Canadian Women’s Hockey League, where she played four seasons.  Upon retiring from professional hockey, Dr Katie re-located to Vancouver, where she remains involved in the game as a coach in the Vancouver Female Ice Hockey Association and a Mental Performance Coach for young athletes.
