Jaime Bourbonnais

Jaime brings extensive defensive knowledge to the Delta Team. As a professional athlete, playing for Montreal’s Team Bauer and Team Canada, Bourbonnais understands the journey from high school to the collegiate level and beyond. During her collegiate years, Bourbonnais was selected for Canada’s Development Team where she helped lead the squad to a Silver medal at the 2017 Nations Cup; she was named Captain in 2019 and debuted in the 2019 IIHF Women’s World Championship.

Throughout her career at Cornell University, Bourbonnais celebrated many honors. In her first season, she was named ECAC All-Rookie Team, contributing to Cornell’s quarter-final finish at the NCAA tournament. As a Sophomore, Jaime led all Big Red defensewomen in scoring and was named to the Ivy League First All-Star Team. In the 2018-2019 season, Bourbonnais ranked third among NCAA defensemen in points per game (0.94), was named ECAC Defenseman of the Year, and helped Cornell reach the Frozen Four.

As a Senior, Jaime raised her points per game to 1.24 (second most among NCAA defensemen); she tied for the team lead with 41 points; was the recipient, again, of the ECAC Defenseman of the Year award; and was a Finalist for the Patty Kazmaier Award, awarded annually to the best collegiate women’s hockey player.

These accomplishments paved the way for Bourbonnais’ professional career in the PWHPA, where she continues to be a success. In the 2022 Dram Gap Tour, Jaime recorded two assists in five games and contributed to her team’s win in the championship game.
