Kristin O’Neill
Kristin is a perfect example of success at the NCAA and Canadian National level. Her own experiences as a gold medalist in the 2015 National Women’s Under-18 Championship and going on to play at the IIHF U18 Women’s World Championship make her a wonderful asset to our team.
As a collegiate athlete, O’Neill was named Ivy League Rookie of the Year with Cornell and was second overall in scoring on the team; contributing to the Big Red’s quarter-final finish in the NCAA tournament. As a Sophomore, she led Cornell in goals (20), assists (21, and points (41); earning her Ivy League Player of the Year honors, as well as a spot on both Ivy League and ECAC First Team All-Star teams. Furthermore, she became the third Sophomore to be named Captain in the program’s history.
Simultaneously, O’Neill was a member of the Canadian Development Team, winning a Silver medal at the 2017 Nations Cup. In her Senior team debut at the Four Nations Cup, Kristen recorded two assists and contributed to the team’s Silver medal finish. O’Neill completed her collegiate career at Cornell with many accolades. She holds the most shorthanded goals (10), 10 th most overall points (145), and third-most shots (546). Kristin’s talent secured her a spot with Montreal’s Team Bauer in the PWHPA.
